The House of Amouage
unveils a new chapter in its
Library Collection — Opus XVI: Timber,
an olfactory tribute
to the timeless
intelligence
of trees
Inspired by California’s monumental sequoias and Oman’s sacred frankincense, Creative Director Renaud Salmon envisioned a fragrance celebrating endurance, depth, and knowledge passed through nature’s oldest beings. Perfumer Alexis Grugeon translated this vision into a strikingly woody composition — bold yet nuanced, monumental yet human.
Timber opens with bright notes of Cypress, Cardamom, Juniper, and Pink Pepper, followed by the spiritual clarity of Lavandin, Fir Balsam, and Omani Frankincense. The base — a grounded harmony of Palo Santo, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Vanilla Bourbon, and Patchouli — radiates serene strength and timeless wisdom.
Presented in Amouage’s signature Cashmere khanjar flacon, adorned with Louise Mertens’ vertical motif.

evokes nature’s
grandeur and continuity
