After a life-altering lupus diagnosis and the challenging journey through chemotherapy, Ashley Chappell's path took a transformative turn. Four years ago, she left her nursing career behind, determined to explore a new passion: photography. Her journey began with a self-driven commitment to learning and creating, all aimed at building a portfolio that would capture her unique artistic voice.

For Ashley, New York City became a creative haven, offering an energizing backdrop with its relentless work ethic and artistic vibrance. She finds inspiration in the city’s pulse, which aligns with her love for fashion photography. Yet, for her dream shoots, she’s drawn to places like Iceland and Thailand—settings where serene landscapes and lush textures can transport viewers. These locales reflect her fascination with fantasy, providing a perfect canvas for capturing moments that feel both ethereal and grounding.

In her work, Ashley gravitates toward the elegance of couture brands like Schiaparelli, Alexander McQueen, and Balmain. For her, fashion represents an art form where shapes, textures, and imagination take precedence, allowing an escape from the ordinary. “Fashion should inspire a dreamlike world,” she says, a sentiment she brings to every frame.

Her style has evolved with a fine art, painterly quality, recently incorporating motion blur techniques that result in bold, abstract compositions.
